DexOS ARM Follow Up
I’ve been chosen to join the ARM port development team, my hardware is on the way. To follow the current status of the project, go to http://dex.7.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=4758#4758 . The board being targeted is a Samsung SOC based Single Board computer with a 3.5″ touch display. The display can be changed to larger or smaller sizes if desired. Also included is a USB host controller, USB device controller, Ethernet, RS-232, and an expansion bus. Once the OS has been brought up to match the x86 version in usability, I will be developing companion modules for things like monitoring and control, with a remote solar-powered weather station being my first project, followed by an aquarium monitoring/environmental control unit and the obligatory robotics project. I may also look into the current ARM C compilers and port a Clib to the DexOS ARM platform, provided time and interest of others.
